The process of writing this book was a year-long adventure of discovery. On one hand, it completes the memoir that Peter wasn’t able to finish before he died. By consulting his notes and following his intentions, we took cues from Peter as we put it together. On the other hand, only Peter could write the memoir he had planned, and to try to emulate his style would be foolish. In the end we believe the book captures his essence and offers his lessons for living a creative life.

As we gathered stories for this book, we discovered untold tales and secrets that would likely have been lost to history if we hadn’t taken on this project. Years after his passing Peter continues to surprise and delight. These quirky discoveries are in the book, you can read them for yourself.

“Peter Leach embodied creativity. He loved the playful process of creating, and once an idea took root in his imagination, little could keep him from making it happen. Whether it was pottery, photography, an elaborate prank, or a simple haiku, creativity was a bone-deep driver that fueled how he lived and loved.”
